Kauai Agricultural Research Center
(7370-A Kuamoo Road, Kapaa HI 96746)
We welcome you to join us at the Kauai Agricultural Research Center for this demonstration to learn how to build an inexpensive hand washing station that you can take into the field with you at any time.
Maintaining good personal hygiene is important to minimize the spread of food borne illnesses in commercial food production operations. Providing field workers with access to toilets and hand washing facilities is an integral part of a good food safety program but providing this infrastructure in the field be challenging. Mobile hand washing stations can be made with hardware or garden store products.
Presenters: Lisa Rhoden, Emilie Kirk, Kylie Tavares, Jensen Uyeda
